Creeping Death 12"

(release date Music For Nations 23/11/84)

26 Versions

1. Music For Nations France 1984 white label test press with proof cover (12KUT 112)
Note: * Only two known copies exist this is the only known test pressing of creeping death the labels are plain white.
The "proof" cover is basically a test press of the cover this is the only known Metallica record with a proof cover.
The cover misspells "blitzkrEIg" this was corrected for the commercial release.
2. Music For Nations France 1984 first label (12KUT 112)
3. Music For Nations France 1984 first label dark red vinyl (12KUT 112)*
4. Music For Nations France 1984 first label red vinyl (12KUT 112)*
Note: * The red vinyl's have two distinct variations the "dark red" copies are much clearer then the normal red copies.
5. Music For Nations France 1984 first label solid green vinyl (12KUT 112)*
6. Music For Nations France 1984 first label transparent green vinyl (12KUT 112)*
Note: * There are probably only a few copies of the transparent green vinyl as it is suspected they were somewhat of a misprint which occurred during the change of color from the green vinyl copies to the clear vinyl copies certainly the transparent green vinyl copies are much harder to find than the solid green copies.
7. Music For Nations France 1984 first label clear vinyl (12KUT 112)
8. Music For Nations France 1984 first label white vinyl (12KUT 112)
9. Music For Nations France 1984 first label blue vinyl (12KUT 112)*
Note: * The blue vinyl copies are also quite rare however they are not as expensive as the other French coloured vinyl's as blue was later released in England but in a much larger print run.  The English blue vinyl was limited to 5,000 - 10,000 copies and the French blue was maybe 500.  The French blue vinyl is not marbled it is a perfect shade of blue.
Note: The Music For Nations French Creeping Deaths all have the original brown label with a bold METALLICA logo and say "made in France" there is no country listed on the French covers.
10. Bernett France 1984 with miss spelt "blitzkrEIg" on the back cover (SB 19036)
11. Roadrunner Holland 1984 with miss spelt "blitzkrEIg" on the back cover (RR 125503)
12. Music For Nations England 1984 second label (12KUT 112)
13. Music For Nations England 1984 second label with barcode on the back cover (12KUT 112)
14. Music For Nations England 1984 solid pale blue vinyl (CV 12 KUT 112)
Note: This is a much lighter shade of blue this may have been part of an early run and the color was later changed very few copies of the "solid pale blue" vinyl exist. There are 3 known copies in existence of which I own one of them.
15. Music For Nations England 1984 clear darker blue vinyl (CV 12 KUT 112)*
16. Music For Nations England 1984 clear darker blue vinyl with barcode on back cover (CV 12 KUT 112)*
17. Music For Nations England 1984 clear darker blue vinyl with anniversary labels (CV 12 KUT 112)*/**
Note: *All English blue vinyl's are marbled you can check this by holding them up to a strong light.  The French blue vinyl is not marbled it is a perfect shade of blue.

**This is probably a mislabel to date there are 16 confirmed copies probably less then 50 exist.

18. Music For Nations England 1984 gold vinyl with anniversary labels no sleeve (12KUT 112)*
*This was a re-issue to celebrate the single selling 100,000 copies it was limited to 3,000 copies.
19. Music For Nations England 1984 gold vinyl mislabeled with side-b labels on both sides (12KUT 112)*
Note: *Only one known copy of the double b-side mislabeled gold vinyl exists.
Note: The Music For Nations English Creeping Deaths all have the second red & yellow label with "made in England" on it.
20. Music For Nations England 1984 picture disc first press (P12 KUT 112)

Note: * This Korean bootleg set contains bootleg 12"s of creeping death, the $5.98 E.P. & the anniversary E.P.
