So we get back from Rock am Ring and what do you know the deceitful bastard aka Steve won us tickets to the St.Anger listening party in Manchester. So we extend holidays and what have you and drive the 300 miles up there. We get there on time and notice we happen to be queuing next to some old boys waiting to see blue Oyster Cult next door. We get in after a short wait and a good chat with some fellow 'tallica fans. They are playing the album which by this time we had heard a good dozen or so times so nothing too new there. Everyone was very friendly as you expect from Metallica fans. They draw a raffle for the album and the St. Anger double CD promo. Neither of us won but that hasn't held us back from owning either piece obviously. They then played a message from the boys which some people had heard before on MTV, followed by the DVD live in the studio. The night was great but just done a little too late, not so much a launch party but a reinforcement party. We then yielded to a 300 mile drive home the same night ... commitment.... Full commitment.
